Waltz for Nada is dedicated to my friend, pianist Nada Kolundzija. The piece is based on transformations of the rhythm of the waltz. The basic rhythm changes by extending and compressing the three-beat pattern to modules of various, irregular number of beats. Harmonic progressions are taken from waltzes used in old movies and transformed throughout the piece.
